A Munstead midlength stem lavender tied bundle makes the perfect gift for someone special. This variety of English Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is cultivated for its delicous fragrance and delicate blue/purple blooms. The fragrance of this dried lavender will last for many months and often for years. Approximately 75-100 stems per bundle.
Each spray is approximately 30-35 cms long from the top of the flower tip to the bottom of the stem. You will find the odd smaller stem as they are hand-bundled in the lavender field. A bundle this year normally contains the blooms from one Munstead lavender plant or sometimes two depending on the size.
Our Munstead lavender is grown, harvested and dried here on our family farm in the Isle of Man. This year's Munstead crop has been hung to dry in individual bundles, leaving plenty of room for air to circulate between the bundles for a beautiful end result. We never use fertilisers or sprays on our lavender, just naturally sandy soil and sleepy bees.
The bundles can be supplied with the rubber bands used to secure the bundles immediately they are harvested (for you to add your own finishing touches); narrow gold ribbon, wide hessian ribbon, narrow white ribbon, narrow ivory ribbon, white twine or natural twine.
